About Oasis Crisis Consultants (OCC)
Founded in 2005, Oasis Crisis Consultants, LLC
(OCC) is a California Limited Liability Company.
OCC is primarily a consulting agency,
providing Emergency Psychiatric Consultations in
the Greater Sacramento area.
It provides these consultations through
the use of a Mobile Crisis Team.
When a patient is perceived
to be in the midst of a psychiatric crisis,
attending medical staff contacts the Mobile
Crisis Team and requests a consultation.
The primary goal of these consultations
is to determine the most appropriate level of
care for any given individuals situation.
The Clinician
advocates for the lowest level of care
consistent with the patient’s needs and
presenting symptomatology.
In collaboration with attending
medical staff, the appropriate level of care is
determined and implemented.
Contracting agencies find
that it is more cost-effective to use an On-Call
Mobile Crisis Team as opposed to having in-house
Social Services staff 24 hours a day/7 days a
week.
